National Day
Today is Singapore's National Day and we celebrate 42 years of independance and nation building.
Though many of us Singapore always complain about the "gar-met" and things and the rising cost, as compared to many other nations, we are definitely much better off though most of us are not rich neither are we poor, just nice to survive.
Many of my Malaysian colleagues told me that as compared to their country, we have more welfare and things than the other side of the border.
Even my other foreigner friends also say about the same thing. I guess there are pros and cons in everything and every aspect of life.
All in all, I will not migrate overseas cause there is no other city and no other nation which can allow me to walk on the streets in the middle of the night and feeling safe without any fear of someone will be out there to rob me and/or murder me.
Not watching the National Day celebrations for almost 2-3 yrs and, this year, I watched it once again to get the feel. All I can say is, I am and will always be a true blue Singaporean as my family, friends and things worth fighting for and to die for are all here, on this soil I call home.
