Friendships Lasts? Read on!
These past 2 days, inclusive of today, have a trying time for me. Things which I saw in secondary school has been repeated in my National Service. Although I am not the one involved in the situation, it really makes me think cause I also have a similiar incident not too long ago regarding my classmate in year 3 in the polytechnic whose name is Hong Mao.
Recently, two of my batch boys seemed to have fall out due to monetary matters. A simple reminder to ourselves to pay back the person who we owe the money to can always salvage the matter. Then, the lender should also hint to the debtor that he needs the money back. Like the Chinese saying goes, "You Jie You Huang, Zai Jie Bu Nan." This means that, if you want to borrow from someone, remember to pay the person back ASAP so that if you ever need to loan some cash from the person again, it will not be that difficult as there will be mutual trust within the two guys involved in the exchange of dollars.
This is just an example and a side track to what I really want to comment on.
The main issue is, does friendship really lasts a lifetime? To me, it does not seem to be so. What matters more is that the process whereby we know the person, learn the good points from the person and, if possible, see if there is any flaws in that person which we do not want to have ourselves.
What matters is not how long that the friendship lasts. What is really of concern is, the memories. Good or bad, it does not really bother. Good memories are the best but of course, as in any relationship, there are bound to be bad memories. We should learn from the bad memories lessons which are not taught in the classroom and therefore, we have to experience them ourselves to better ourselves and improve as, should I use this word, "UPGRADE."
To be too close to any friend has it pros and cons too. I shall not spend too much on this topic anymore.
Anyone who reads this blog entry and has any comments, whether what I type is correct or has any opposing can leave a comment to my blog or in my tagboard. Thanks alot! Hope that this had been a nice blog entry. Will strive to improve on my entries to make it more interesting.
