Two hectic weeks Side by Side
Since I cannot think of any nice and interesting topics to write currently, I shall blog about what has been going on in my life for the past two weeks haha.................
The past two weeks had been quite hectic for me somehow both in my personal life and in my career.
Met up with Heyong and Clarissa two Fridays ago for dinner as it had been a long time since we all caught up with each other after the last met-up on Dec for the relaxation time at MOS in December.
Updated each other on our lives and what we are all currently doing. Surprised to hear that Clarissa is also out in the working force, contributing to the taxes and to her family household upkeeps too.
Then, last Saturday, I met up with my air force friends, Soon Kiat and Johnny to go to the Open House at SIM. Wow! Finally got to ask all the questions I always forgot to ask and there's more to ask too. Poor Johnny as he could not find the course which he is intending to take LOL. Soon Kiat is hell bent on taking the SIM University course in Electronics. Yeah, both of them are intending to further their studies and career in the engineering sector.
As for me, I have already branched out of the electronics and engineering sectors as there is simply no drive inside me to work in the electronics sector. Just cannot forsee myself in this particular sector. Totally no interest. Different people have different wants and needs and aspirations.
Then on Tuesday, I went to the SAFRA Country Club for a site visit with my fellow committee members for the annual year-end function for my department. So many things to iron out still and heck man, the events manager has not been very helpful till now as we are all doing everything ourselves. Gotta keep going man!
Met up with my sec sch friend, Eunice on Friday for dinner with her poly friend, Xinyi, who is currently studying in NUS and Eunice's boyfriend too. We chatted till it was around 10:30pm and headed home.
On Saturday, I went to Yishun SAFRA Country Club with my fellow colleagues again to get a better feel of the venue and for those who did not go, to have a look-around of the whole place. We thrashed things out and had our meetings to iron out each person's area of responsibility. Had a good 4-hour meeting man.
Later on, we headed to North Point to grab some bitables and chatted for over an hour.
While the rest headed home, I went to Orchard to meet my ex-colleague, Li Jun, to pass her the photos taken on her last day of work. Walked around Orchard with her friends and her sister too.
Come dinner time, I headed straight for home as I was just too tired to remain outside even though it was a weekend and the time was onli around 8pm. Poor me man, not having enough sleep till this morning when I slept till 10 plus AM for the FIRST TIME in two weeks, more than 14 days. This just reminded me of the 1st time I stepped into NS in Pulau Tekong whereby I had to wake up at 5:00am daily for the first 3 weeks. LOL.
Went to the career and education fair at Suntec Convention Center with Johnny today. Funnily this time round, it seemed like half of the exhibitions were about education and the other 40% were from insurance agencies. Only the remaining 10%, plus minus 5%, were companies from other sectors and arena.
Had a good chat with Johnny regarding what he wanted to do and hopefully he can come to a decision soon on what course he wants to further his studies in.
All said and done for the past two weeks in my life and that's all.
