CNY Outing
Yesterday was the 1st day of the Lunar New Year aka Chinese New Year. This year, it is the yeaf of the Rat and rats, I am becoming 24 this year in July already man! How time really flies. The previous cycle, I was still a young kid, about 12 years old, studying in a primary school and preparing to take my Primary School Leaving Examination to gain entry to a secondary school.
Enough of reminiscing of the past memories. Had steamboat dinner at home but what a day it turned out to be. For numerous years, we have been having steamboat for our meals during CNY. God knows why the steamboat suddenly just fused out and we had to source out the root of the problem. But, in the end, we improvised and used the rice cooker followed by the slow cooker to use as steamboat. Of all times for the steamboat to fuse out.
After dinner, went to Elena's house which is just across my residential block with Xinyi and Shinyi.
After that, we headed down to MS to catch the movie show starring Jay Chou abt using Kung Fu to play basketball. Not a bad movie. Found it quite hilarious and touching at times. Total of seven people watching the show including Elena's mother.
At the end of the show, Elena's mom drove us home. Lucky for me too that I just stay in the same neighbourhood as them.
Was a good outing with them on a festive season.
Still enjoying my extended holiday till the end of this weekend before going back to work again on Monday.
