1 Outing And 1 Gathering In A Weekend
On Saturday evening, I met up with Xinyi and her group of friends, including one of my sec sch juniors and her boyfriend who is my age. Thank god for that else I again become the only "Uncle" there as I am at least, on average, 4 years older than them.
We had dinner at PizzaHut which was located in Marina Square. We waited for almost 30minutes before we were FINALLY given a table. Who could we blame as we were a huge group of 6-8 people, so, we had to wait till those diners adjacent to each other had finished their meal and were leaving before we could have a seat inside.
While serving us our soft drinks, the waiter for God knew what hit that guy, suddenly lost his balance of the serving tray with our soft drinks still on it. The glasses of soft drinks which were still on the tray all toppled over. The friend who was supposed to sit beside me in the restaurant ran out of money and went to withdraw more cash. For me, I was not so lucky as some of the drink fell on me. I could count on my lucky stars that it was only part of my jeans and only my right arm got the soft drink. What a day!!
After dinner, I parted ways with them as I was very tired after my IPPT in the morning and I also needed enough rest before I go and meet up with my secondary school friends for our gathering organised by me.

I went to meet up with my friends for the gathering which was organized by yours truly, me, at Swenson's Restaurant at Marina Square (again!!!). I made a reservation of 30 seats and was duly given those tables located outside of the restaurant instead of being inside the cool comfort of the air-con. Well, what could I say as I made a reservation which was deemed large for a small restaurant. Luckily, the time which I planned for us to meet up was 5:30pm in the evening which was not so hot and getting cooling as it was nearing the night too.
Had a really wonderful chat and time catching up with my old classmates. Surprisingly, there were also some new inclusions too like Fifi and Chiu Yan as throughout the last few gatherings organized by my other classmates, they were either not there or not in Singapore.
We split up into 3 groups after the dinner. One group went home straight after the various photo-taking sections, the other went for ice-cream and, the last group went for karaoke session followed by supper nearby our secondary school. I was in the last group.
Had fun singing as it had been a long time since I last went for a karaoke session. Then, the supper after that made it all the more fun as it was really like back to the good old times when we were all still active and energetic teenagers dying to grow up and having fun not having to worry about the financial burdens and career prospects.
Went home at around 1:45am to retire for the night and get enough sleep before I went back to report for work after 3 weeks of reservist.
Looking forward to the next gathering. Hopefully, someone will plan this again. Cheers!
